Among 45 drivers from 32 countries, Poland was proudly represented by Jakub Przygoński, who showcased his skills early on by securing 2nd place in the qualifying round with an impressive score of 94.5 points. This strong result gave him a favorable position in the final tournament bracket.
In the one-on-one battles, Przygoński defeated Japan’s Hokuto Matsuyama and Israel’s Itay Sadeh, advancing to the TOP 8. There, he faced local favorite Nikolass Bertans. After an intense showdown, a small mistake in the second run cost the Polish driver a spot in the semifinals. Bertans went on to win the entire event.
“I’m very happy, especially since the track here in Riga is very long and very challenging. It’s a very technical course — we reach nearly 160 km/h at initiation, and then you have to drive perfectly along the line set by the judges. [...] We’re wrapping up this event and the season, and now we’re already thinking about next year. A short break, and then we’ll gear up for the next season,” said Przygoński.
